Qatar Vinyl Company’s shareholders are Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company (55.2%), QAPCO (31.9%) and QatarEnergy (12.9%).
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company (55.2%)
MPHC is a Qatar Petroleum group company which holds most of QatarEnergy’s interests in three well-established and highly profitable petrochemical companies:
- Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (QChem I)
- Qatar Chemical Company II Ltd (QChem II)
- Qatar Vinyl Company Ltd (QVC) Q.P.J.S.C.
The combination of these three successful operating ventures under MPHC creates a leading integrated producer and exporter of petrochemicals, with world-class production facilities in Qatar.
Qatar Petrochemical Company (31.9%)
Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), established in 1974, has over the years grown to be recognized as one of the Middle East’s largest producers of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and one of the leading producers of quality Ethylene.
QatarEnergy (12.9%)
QatarEnergy is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar.
The principal activities of QatarEnergy, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas (LNG), steel and aluminium.
