Virtual Industrial Training Program For Qatar University and TAMUQ

Doha, Qatar – As part of our Strategic Qatarization Department’s Summer of Virtual Training, an Industrial Training program was delivered to 35 Engineering students from Qatar University and Texas A&M University Qatar (TAMUQ).

The six-week program contained 31 virtual training sessions that were delivered through the medium of Microsoft Teams Meetings application, by Training Specialists from five Operational Departments, Utilities, Ethylene, LDPE, Maintenance and QVC plus two guest lectures from Dr Mabrouk Ouederni and Mr Paulo Fabret.

The program was designed in collaboration with Academic faculty from Qatar University and TAMUQ to provide a virtual tour and familiarization of the five main Operational Departments as well as other related Departments such as Technical Customer Service and their laboratories.

The program provided a very clear introduction to the fundamental processes, theories and applications of a modern Petrochemical plant. It also provided the student with a good knowledge of QAPCO products and subsequent usage of these products.
