Doha, Qatar – The International Labor Organization – ILO, marks the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on the 28th of April to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. It is an awareness-raising campaign intended to focus international attention on emerging trends in the field of occupational safety and health and on the magnitude of work-related injuries, diseases and fatalities worldwide.
This year, QAPCO celebrated World Safety Day under the theme “Safe System of Work: Value it, Own it & Use it”.
The 2019 Safety Day campaign highlights the importance of process safety culture, capabilities and systems to ensure incident-free in operation. The campaign targeted our Process Safety performance by assessing our culture, risk discovery and mitigation, and the implementation of our systems.
At QAPCO, safety is a core value, it’s considered a way of life and one of the highest priorities.
QAPCO celebrated this day in advance by having different initiatives starting 21st April. Our approach puts safety at the front of every decision. We are fully committed to ensuring that every one of our employees and our contractors returns home safely at the end of the day.
