Doha, Qatar – A Cybersecurity Forum was organized by QAPCO IT/ IS organization, in close collaboration with Ta’awin Synergy Delivery Unit. It was held at QAPCO Doha Headquarters from 29 to 30 April 2019.
The objective was to create a platform for strengthening internal cooperation, information sharing, and discussion on cybersecurity with a particular focus on Qatar National Cybersecurity Strategies and National Certification in terms of development approaches, good practices, challenges and opportunities.
Moreover, it aimed at cybersecurity maturity level benchmarking among the industrial sectors inside the State of Qatar. The forum was targeting industrial sector’ cybersecurity professionals with the aim of promoting constructive dialogue among industrial oil and gas organizations.
During the two days, all the participants made presentations related to cybersecurity at their companies. Qatar Steel, QAFCO and Qatalum presented on the first day, while NOC, Q-Chem and QAPCO presented on the second day. Panel discussions were held after the presentations on both days.
