Doha, Qatar – QAPCO continues its support to the Education Sector within Qatar by hosting 52 interns (36 males and 16 females) as part of its Summer Internship Program.

This program is part of QAPCO’s wide-ranging corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and demonstrates our commitment to strengthening the link between Academia and Industry.

During the six-week program, the students experience first-hand practical applications and processes associated with a modern petrochemical plant and obtain industry-specific knowledge.

QAPCO’s internship program consisted of 20 hours per week of industrial training in the Plant, as well as a series of weekly workshops designed to improve the student’s awareness of Health & Safety – the students also had to deliver a presentation on the subject to our management team.

At this ceremony, held on Sunday 22nd July 2018 at the QAPCO Doha Office, Eng. Abdulla Naji, CHC&ISO, expressed his gratitude to all the Department Managers, Training Specialists and all involved in facilitating the Internship program saying “Internship training provides numerous benefits to the students that visit QAPCO each year as they gain experience, develop skills, make connections, strengthen their resumes, learn about their specialized field, and are able to assess and develop their knowledge and abilities.”
